This recipe has been a favourite of mine ever since I was a little girl. It has been passed down to me from my grandmother and I hope it can become a family favourite for you too!
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 16 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 4 cups cooked Le Veneziane fettucce gluten-free noodles
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 large block of cream cheese
- 1/3 cup chopped green onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
In a large pot brown beef and onion. Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, garlic and pepper. Remove from heat. In a separate pot cook noodles as per instructions on package, drain. In a bowl combine cottage cheese, cream cheese and sour cream. Add green onion and green pepper.
In a 9 x 13 casserole pan spread half of the noodles, followed by half of the meat sauce. Cover with cheese mixture. Add remaining noodles and meat sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
