Gluten-free Canada Day s’mores recipe

With Canada Day right around the corner I thought it would be fun to make some Canada-inspired s’mores!

Ingredients:

  • Kinnikinnick graham crackers
  • Hershey white chocolate chipits
  • Hershey milk chocolate bar
  • Marshmallows
  • Red food colouring

Line large baking sheet with parchment paper. Break graham crackers in half, placing both halves on the sheet. Place a marshmallow on one half of the graham cracker. Broil on low, checking frequently to avoid burning. Remove tray from oven once marshmallow tops are golden in colour. Place one piece of Hershey milk chocolate on top of the marshmallows and cover with remaining half of graham cracker. Place tray back in oven (the oven should be turned off) to melt the chocolate. Remove from oven after 1-2 minutes. In a small bowl add white chocolate chipits, heat in the microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate has melted. Using a piping bag pipe diagonal lines across the top of the s’more, set aside. To create the Canada Flag, spread melted white chocolate across the top of the s’more. In a separate small bowl add remaining white chocolate chipits and red food colouring. Heat in microwave for the same 30 second intervals until melted. Add red coloured chocolate to the piping bag. Pipe opposite diagonal lines over the white chocolate lines and set aside. To complete the Canada Flag pipe two lines on either side of the graham cracker and a small maple leaf in the middle. You can experiment with other designs as well! Have fun, and enjoy!
